Commitment to the responsible management of AI
At Omniloy we develop and deploy technology solutions, some of which are based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), ensuring that our activities are aligned with the ethical, legal, technical and social principles promoted by the UNE-ISO/IEC 42001:2025 standard.
Integration with the management system
The Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS) forms part of the organisation's Integrated Management System set out in the Organisation Policy.
This integration guarantees a consistent, efficient and risk-based approach to managing our activities, ensuring alignment between the different management systems and strengthening our commitment to continual improvement, information protection, sustainability and legal compliance.
We consider that our policies and internal rules, which form part of the different management systems, also apply to the AIMS and must be taken into account in its development.
Objectives
We undertake to use, establish, implement, maintain and continually improve an effective AIMS, with the following objectives:
- To design and implement trustworthy, secure and transparent AI solutions.
- To identify, assess and mitigate the risks associated with the use of AI, including ethical, legal and social impacts.
- To ensure compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, contractual and voluntary requirements.
- To encourage the participation of relevant interested parties.
- To promote accountability, fairness, reliability, explainability, safety and sustainability throughout the life cycle of our AI solutions.
- To foster a culture of responsible use of AI.
Guiding principles
Our policy is based on the following principles:
- Legality and Compliance: Compliance with applicable legislation and regulation.
- Ethics and Human Rights: Respect for fundamental rights, avoiding negative impacts on people, promoting dignity, non-discrimination and social well-being.
- Transparency and Explainability: Clarity in the logic and operation of AI systems.
- Accountability and Human Oversight: Guaranteeing human oversight, in particular, Human-in-the-loop
- Security and robustness: Ensuring that AI systems are technically robust, secure and resilient against failures, attacks or misuse, aligned with ISO/IEC 27001 and ENS controls.
- Risk Management: A sound framework for identifying, assessing and mitigating the risks associated with AI systems throughout their entire life cycle.
- Fairness and non-discrimination: development and use of fair AI systems, minimising bias and avoiding any direct or indirect discrimination.
- Governance and Traceability: Ensuring the traceability of AI systems and appropriate governance and control throughout their entire life cycle.
- Privacy and data protection: Guaranteeing the appropriate processing of personal data in accordance with the GDPR, applying the principles of minimisation, purpose limitation and security.
- Social and Environmental Benefit: Encouraging the use of AI to generate sustainable value.
- Continual Improvement: Constant evaluation and improvement of the performance of the AIMS.
Sustainability and ethical AI
The organisation shall promote a responsible, ethical and sustainable use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence systems, taking into account their social and environmental impact throughout their entire life cycle.
To this end, practices will be promoted that aim to minimise the energy consumption and environmental footprint associated with the use of technological infrastructure, including the optimisation of servers and computing resources, the use of energy-efficient technologies and the correct management and recycling of electronic equipment.
Likewise, the responsible use of digital and artificial intelligence tools will be encouraged among workers, promoting sustainable behaviour such as reducing unnecessary printing, the efficient use of technological resources and the adoption of good digital practices.
The organisation shall assess, where possible and proportionate, the environmental impact arising from the training, deployment and use of artificial intelligence systems.
Responsibilities
Top Management provides the necessary resources and demonstrates active leadership in the implementation of the AIMS.
All people in the organisation and all collaborators must comply with the requirements of the system and take part in the culture of responsible use of AI.
This Policy shall be subject to periodic reviews, either planned or required by changes that may arise in our AIMS.
